Welcome to StLBooks!

We are an independent bookstore based in St. Louis, owned and operated by StL Books LLC. We have been selling books online since 2005 when our owner, Robin Theiss, decided to sell off some of her vast personal library to make room for even more books. The effort was both successful and fun!

Today we carry thousands of new and used books of all genres, including many scarce and signed collectible titles. We list them on multiple venues, large and small, with the largest Internet booksellers, whose names you recognize, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Alibris, Biblio, and Abebooks, and also with many smaller and lesser-known sellers. Our mission, put simply, is to help great readers find great books. We carry a broad and diverse selection of titles at reasonable prices and can never resist the challenge to help one of our customers locate that hard-to-find title. We strive to earn your loyalty by offering you friendly and knowledgeable service.

Most important, StLBooks is not just another website where you can find a book, put it in a cart, and pay for it with PayPal or some other method. On the contrary, StLBooks is a place to browse, to discover new authors, read reviews, and learn about news that pertains to books and writers. Most of all, it's a place to connect and to share your own insights with like-minded people who share a passion for the written word.
