We pack well and ship fast! You can feel assured that we will do everything we can do to provide you with the shortest possible delivery time for the type of shipping you purchased.

Every book sold directly by StLBooks are packaged with great care, placed in an acid-free and moisture-resistant mylar sleeve, and further protected by a padded envelope or box. All other StLBooks products are packaged carefully, too, to avoid damages in transit.

Types of Shipping

The majority of shipments are sent out via the United States Postal Service. Customers may choose Standard or Expedited shipping. International shipments are sent with required customs documentation.

We ship all orders out within two business days, but usually within one business day. Because we are fortunate to be based in the central Midwest United States, our U.S. customers, coast to coast, realize exceptionally fast deliveries most of the time. Please keep in mind that your actual delivery time is largely based on the type of shipping you purchase when you place your order and the time it takes for the USPS to convey a package to your door after we place it in the mail.

STANDARD shipping (or Media Mail) requires 4-14 days for USPS delivery, although packages usually arrive earlier and in some extreme cases have been known to take up to a month. If your package is light in weight (13 ounces or less), First Class Mail service usually offers faster shipping (1-3 days, usually) than Media Mail. When that is the case, we often take advantage of it and if there is a cost difference, upgrade our customer's shipping to First Class at our own expense in order to reduce the overall delivery time.

EXPEDITED shipping (or Priority Mail) typically requires 3-5 business days for USPS delivery, depending on the distance and the weight of the package.

APO and INTERNATIONAL orders can take longer to arrive—sometimes, although rarely, as much as six weeks.

Items that appear on StLBooks' Browse Our Books pages are sold by us directly. We process the sales of these items, handle customer inquiries, accept payments, and ship orders to customers. We also handle any returns of items purchased directly from StLBooks.

Amazon Products
When you use our Browse Amazon Items page, you are shopping for Amazon items and Amazon will handle any sales transactions, provide customer service concerning orders, and ship any item(s) sold to customers, even when the sale originated from StLBooks. Amazon does not offer combined shipping rates when multiple items are purchased in one order.

Confirmation & Tracking

All shipments made by StLBooks include Delivery Confirmation and Tracking through the US Postal Service. When we ship out your order, we email your tracking number to you. In the event that you do not receive your package when you expect it, please visit the USPS website at www.usps.com and enter your tracking number to track your order. If you believe your order has been lost, please note that the USPS requires that we allow the full amount of time it specifies for delivery before it will trace a shipment.
